The Jamaica Stock Exchange conducts a series of workshops every year to keep professionals in the industry up to date with the trends and developments impacting the financial sector. These compact educational programmes focus on wealth creation and wealth retention strategies and techniques which the financial sector is best suited to achieve.
Workshops are created as the need arises, however there are four major ones held throughout the year.

Communications in a Crisis
With the advent of globalization, companies are likely to encounter crisis situations. The communication of an organization from the onset of a crisis or emergency will set the tone and build or destroy the relationship between an organization and its critical stakeholders.
What to say, who to say it to, how it should be said, to whom and when, are questions that must be answered ahead of the occurrence of a crisis or disruption of operations at an organization and are very important.
Enterprise Risk Management
The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) workshop is a field of study that looks at risk management strategically from the perspective of the entire firm or organization.
It is a top-down approach that aims to identify, assess, and prepare for potential losses, dangers, hazards, and other forms of harm that may affect an organization’s operations and objectives and can lead to losses.
This workshop is designed to train the next generation of leaders to operate in the modern workplace and society. It is geared towards assisting Leaders to meet the challenges of the workplace and to provide a vision for the future.
The key is to help Leaders release the leader within by top experts in the field. The workshop will guide persons that aspire to be leaders in the right path and to avoid pitfalls that are faced by most leaders.
Modern Corporate Secretary
The Modern Corporate Secretary workshop is geared towards engaging Corporate Secretaries on the responsibilities of the modern-day corporate secretary.
Also to demonstrate how Corporate Secretary has evolved globally, from that of a recorder of minutes at Board meetings or administrative assistant to the Board to one of a “Board advisor” with added responsibility for the organization’s corporate governance.
